Wonderful Weekend

Most of the people who will read this post already know this (because I'm talking about you) but I was very blessed to have a wonderful group of friends in high school. We were incredibly close then, and I think that the friendship has grown even better over the years. Added to that, I have new friends because of the amazing people my best friends have chosen to spend their lives with. Every time I get to see Angela, Jessica, and Matty I realize how lucky we all are! Now if only we can get together more often!

That being said, I am thrilled that this weekend (finally) happened. Andy and Angela got married! It was totally and completely beautiful and wonderful. I guess that because I am in love, I want the same thing for all of my friends. That is definitely what we witnessed this weekend. What a perfect couple!

For those of you who weren't in attendance, I'll give a (sort of) quick run-down. The weekend started with a quick trip to the Chao's to assemble programs and favors. Andy and Angela have their own chinese character stamps--how cool is that?

The next night the ladies got together for Angela's bachelorette party--complete with a HUGE limo and goofy stunts around town. We had the best limo driver ever--he was so nice and really did a great job. If you need to hire a limo in the KC area, let me know, and I'll give you his card! We called the boys to make them jealous, but apparently they didn't approve of "cross-pollinating" (Andy's phrase) between the parties. I think they were just jealous because star treatment in a limo is far cooler than Dave and Busters in a CRV! (Though that is the perfect night for that bunch!)

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner. I was so honored that C.C. and I were included. I love Andy's family. I've known them since high school and they've always been so kind to me. So it was great to see them. Also, I echo Robbie's thoughts: when the heck did Griff get so old? The food was great--especially the famous rolls! Later, a truely awesome dance floor was assembled, and many champagne glasses were built by Jessica, Kat, and myself.

The wedding itself was fantastic, as was the reception. We get more ideas about our own wedding every time we go to one. I got to do a little stage managing with the photos, which brought back memories. Mostly, I got to spend time with my best friends and eat wedding cake. What more can you ask for? Here's to a trip to DC soon! I love you all! By the way, who's next?

Hey Katie, it was so great to catch up with you over the weekend. I'm happy to see that Andgela's wedding has been nicely documented via our blogs. Let me know if you still want to go in on the GT Xpress 101! I'll be adding you to my blog so we can keep in touch. Tell C.C. a big thank you for picking me up for the wedding. You ladies are great!
