As pleased as I've been about people reading my blog, you'd think I'd be better about keeping it up, but I've been busy, so such is life...
What have I been busy doing, you might ask? (Or, well, maybe you wouldn't, but you're here, right?) Well, in between all of the wrapping up of the school year activities, trying to teach Romeo and Juliet and all, we have been having fun on the weekends.
For instance, last weekend we were visited by the lovely Erin (EVQ) Taylor. Friday night we went to Mi Ranchito, a lovely restaurant at 95th and I-35. Don't let the fact that it is attached to a car-repair place turn you off. There were no car parts in my food, and it was wonderful!!! So wonderful, in fact, that we went back Sunday! (It's cheap, too!)
On Saturday, since my love had a client meeting all day, Erin and I were let loose on the shopping wildes of Johnson County. We had specific items in mind, but took a few detours on the way. While shopping for Dede's birthday present, we had to look at the glassware sale at Pier1. Some of you may know of my obsession with "grown-up" glasses and the color blue. Unfortunately, these were on sale, so I bought two. I know, I know...But they make me very happy every time I drink out of them.
Sunday, we went and took pictures of the model of our new apartment! I can't wait to move in there--it's soo much better than our current place. We can't wait to have a fiesta once we move in! Here are some pictures...

This weekend, we went to see the incredibly talented Scott G. Moreland in A Midsummer Night's Dream. He was WONDERFUL!! This is not just my not-so-unbiased opinion, either. Before the show, a woman told us that he was the reason she was returning to see the show. Scott told me that the "rude mechanicals" would steal the show. They were really great, but he gave them a run for their money. He burned up so much energy on that stage that I can't believe he could still walk after the show. I was so proud to say that I know him. I can't wait until he is in another show! (The furry legs and horns were nice, too.)
BTW, for ESU folk, F.J. was in the audience. I got the satisfaction of pointing him out right after my love said that I should stop looking around because I wasn't going to know anyone in the audience. (I think my habit of running into people I know in strange places kind of gets irritating.) Kellie Brubaker was also in the show as a Woodland Fairy. She did a lovely job as well, and it was great to see her!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful, relaxing Sunday! All my love!
