Sooo...It's been awhile

This weekend I had the ultimate pleasure to attend Miss Angela (soon to become Mrs. Trommer's) bridal shower. It was wonderful to see her and a few other high school pals--as well as Andy's family (the female half, anyway.) The party was fun--hosted very beautifully by Ashley Smith and her mother. There were even some yummy petit fours which, apparently, are a girl thing according to Trommer and Scott. Later on, my love and I got to see the aforementioned Trommer and Scott, which led to a lovely live performance of The Little Mermaid by ScottyMo. We had dinner at Jazz in Westport, then continued our evening with a visit from Tiff and Matt. What a reunion weekend! It really filled my soul and perked me up. You'd think I wouldn't need that, since it's summer, but...

I am, alas, still job searching. It may have been a very foolish decision to quit my job, but it was sucking the joy out of my soul, and in retrospect, it was good. I've heard that a lot of the people on staff that I was really close to have left the school as well. I would have really been miserable without some of my closest friends and mentors there, so it was probably a good decision. I guess. Ask me again in August. There are still some jobs out there, but I'm getting nervous. So if you're the praying or positive thought-thinking type, now you know where to direct your attention.

As far as updates on our life go...We've officially moved! We like the new apartment much better. "It's more architectural" --to borrow a phrase from my dad. We have a fireplace and actual hallways! We have to go washer and dryer shopping, but we will be doing that soon. Until we find one, Mom and Dad have been most kind...Thanks, guys!

I'm still working at Camp, which is a lot of fun. It's incredible to see the work that kids can do in 6 short weeks. They have such kind hearts and do an amazing job of raising money for worthy causes--as well as putting on shows. Wow! Another thing that does much to lift my soul!

Well, that's probably enough updating for today, but I will try to be more regular. I've been informed that there are some people actually reading this, so I really should work harder on my sharing skills. Love to all. We'll be in Corporate Woods Tuesday evening, watching the fireworks...if you aren't there, we will be thinking of you and missing the traditional powwow...

Take Care, and happy 4th!
